Capability Plus

Capability Plus is Raytheon Australia’s industry leading small and medium enterprise (SME) engagement program.
An industry leading program designed to be tailored to SMEs needs, Capability Plus will bolster local industry to deliver on the Australian Government’s objectives to establish enduring, sovereign capability.
In a practical sense, it is all about creating new and easier pathways for SMEs to do even more work with Defence.
Raytheon Australia will provide a broad combination of mentoring, training, skills transfer and other forms of support that will be developed in partnership with the SMEs. Focusing on what will be most helpful to them in improving their capability and competitiveness both here in Australia, and potentially on the world stage.
The Capability Plus program will cultivate long-term partnerships between Raytheon Australia and local SMEs, to strengthen and grow local organisations such that they are able to support the nation’s defence objectives to develop greater supply chain resilience and self-reliance.
Raytheon Australia will work with these SMEs to provide support opportunities in a number of areas including:
-
leadership;
-
engineering and program management training;
-
quality and ISO certification mentorship;
-
cyber security support; and
-
global trade knowledge transfer (including access to Raytheon Technologies’ global supply chain program).
In its first year, 12 SMEs from across Australia have been selected as participants of the program:
