Help for storm victims

Join us in aiding those impacted by hurricanes Maria, Irma and Harvey

The Raytheon-built Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite instrument on NASA-NOAA’s Suomi NPP satellite captured a thermal image of Hurricane Maria on Sept. 20, 2017, at 2:12 a.m. EDT (0612 UTC). At the time, Maria’s eye was just east of the American Virgin Islands and its northwestern quadrant stretched over Puerto Rico. (Photo: NASA Goddard Rapid Response Team)

Raytheon and its employees have pledged more than $600,000 to help victims of this season's destructive hurricanes. That includes direct company donations to relief organizations and matching grants for employee donations to help victims of hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria.

Among those contributions is Raytheon's $100,000 commitment to the hurricane relief effort One America Appeal, a nonprofit launched by all five living former U.S. presidents. The One America Appeal will designate Raytheon's donation to the nonprofit United for Puerto Rico, established by the office of First Lady of Puerto Rico Beatriz Rossello to help the affected citizens of the U.S. territory. Puerto Rico suffered extreme damage from the effects of hurricanes Irma and Maria.

In addition, employees are supporting affected colleagues through the Raytheon Employee Disaster Relief Fund, which provides individual grants of up to $10,000 to company employees who are victims of natural disasters and other emergencies in federally declared disaster areas.

Our relief efforts are aided by our strong partnership with the American Red Cross. We provide ongoing funding to its Disaster Relief Fund to support immediate aid efforts wherever needed.

The Red Cross is offering shelter, supplies and volunteer labor to ease the suffering of hurricane victims. The One America Appeal is gathering resources to help victims recover from the effects of these devastating storms.
