Raytheon, in collaboration with Walt Disney Imagineering, introduces Sum of all Thrills™, an interactive, math-based experience located at INNOVENTIONS at Epcot® at the Walt Disney World® Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., today. This unique exhibit lets kids (of all ages) experience math and science in an amazing new way: by designing — and then riding — their very own thrill ride. It’s another example of how Raytheon’s MathMovesU® initiative is supporting math and science education in fun, innovative and interactive ways.

The new Sum of all Thrills™ advertisement campaign is coinciding with the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony of the exhibit. The ad appears in The Washington Post today. Similar ads are currently appearing in the print and online editions of Defense News and Aviation Week & Space Technology.

About MathMovesU

MathMovesU, launched in 2005, has touched the lives of more than 1 million students, teachers, and parents. Raytheon is committed to raising awareness of the nation’s current decline of math and science skills in today’s youth and believes that tomorrow’s innovators need to be excited by and interested in math today. Through interactive learning programs, contests, live events, scholarships, tutoring programs and more, MathMovesU engages and inspires students. Core components of the program include:

  • An innovative approach to engaging students in math and science through a partnership with the Kraft family and The New England Patriots at The Hall at Patriot Place Presented by Raytheon;
  • MathMovesU.com, a virtual space to educate and entertain middle school students through games and activities that showcase the math behind students’ favorite pastimes;
  • A scholarship and grants program that awards $1 million annually to students, teachers and schools.
