Thanks to Raytheon technology, thousands of U.S. troops worldwide now feel a little closer to home. Even those deployed to the most remote and rugged locations will be cheering on their teams during this year's Super Bowl. Those same troops were also able to watch the recent presidential inauguration.

This innovation is possible thanks to the modern technology of Raytheon's Global Broadcast Service (GBS).

The service, developed to provide high-speed, multimedia broadcasts of mission essential information to military and government decision makers, is helping our nation's warfighters stay in touch with these celebrated events.

This global capability is the result of an ongoing 11-year partnership between Raytheon and the U.S. Air Force to develop, manage and improve GBS.

Developed and operated by Raytheon, the GBS service delivers intelligence and situational-awareness data to military forces, whether they are in the mountains of Afghanistan, on warships in the Pacific or in submarines hundreds of feet below the surface.

“The Global Broadcast Service is a vital operational asset to America’s warfighters and gives our military a global information capability,” said Guy DuBois, vice president for Raytheon’s Intelligence and Information Systems business. “Raytheon is proud to provide this vital technology to our troops.”
