NASA has awarded Raytheon Information Solutions a bridge contract to continue services currently provided through the Earth Observing System Data and Information System (EOSDIS) Maintenance and Development (EMD) program. The total maximum value of the indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity cost-plus-award fee contract is $48 million with an 18-month ordering period.
Through the EMD program, Raytheon developments and sustains engineering of software and hardware systems that manage and distribute Earth science data, including sensing data and imagery about the Earth's atmosphere, oceans and lands. The EMD program earned a full 100% award fee in the last period and has consistently achieved 99% or higher award fees in the past three years.
This EMD bridge contract was initiated to cover the period until NASA completed the competitive acquisition for the Earth Observing System Data and Information System Evolution and Development contract.
