Raytheon is showcasing its technologies and solutions at the American Meteorological Society’s 89th Annual Meeting taking place this week in Phoenix, Ariz.
This year, the meeting is themed “Urban Weather and Climate: Now and the Future.” The theme is extremely relevant and timely as more urban areas have become vulnerable to damage from natural disasters.
Raytheon’s products are helping our customer combat this growing problem by delivering faster, more accurate weather prediction and forecasting capabilities that save money, time and most importantly, lives.
Raytheon’s environmental solutions leverage 40 years of proven performance that keep our customers one step ahead of nature’s forces at all times. Our sensing, communications, processing and visualization technologies provide decision makers accurate land, sea, sky and space environmental information.
Raytheon will highlight several of its innovative environmental solutions at this year’s meeting. They include:
- National Polar-Orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System (NPOESS)
- Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System (AWIPS)
- Visible/Infrared Imager Radiometer Suite (VIIRS)
