USA Today featured Raytheon in an article about a next-generation weather satellite that will create more timely and accurate weather forecasts. The article, published Friday, Oct. 24, highlights Raytheon’s pursuit of the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite-R Series (GOES-R) ground control system.

"If you tighten the error associated with a storm track, that means the fewer people you have to evacuate, which saves money, and getting the timing right saves lives," said Mike Ruggles, program director for GOES-R at Raytheon.
