The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Space 2008 Conference & Exposition took place Sept. 9-11, 2008, at the San Diego Convention Center. The theme for this year's event was "Future Space: National Priorities, Critical Decisions."

Raytheon's President of Intelligence and Information Systems, Michael D. Keebaugh, participated as an executive chair at the conference. He was a panelist during the opening ceremonies and also moderated a plenary session on National Security Space Day (Sept. 11) focused on "Transforming Space from the Ground Up."

Raytheon also had a display booth at the event's Education Alley, which showcased MathMovesU to the hundreds of students in attendance. Education Alley was developed to give both students and teachers an opportunity to learn more about space. Pre-college students also attended presentations, viewed exhibits and spoke with engineers about the reasons why they became a part of this exciting industry.
