The 2007 International Paris Air Show was a landmark for Raytheon. A dedicated cross-functional Raytheon team planned, executed and coordinated Raytheon’s exhibits, briefings and overall presence at the air show. Their efforts resulted in one of the most successful Paris Air Shows in Raytheon history.
Among the 2007 highlights:
- Raytheon hosted hundreds of meetings with key customers from around the world. The Raytheon chalet was crowded with customers who took the opportunity to learn about Raytheon’s extensive capabilities across its four core markets of Sensors, Effects, Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence (C3I) and Mission Support.
- Raytheon generated numerous articles and broadcasts in the media, including extensive press coverage on AESA, Universal Control System, ASTOR, Directed Energy, missile systems and Air Traffic Management.
- Raytheon’s media briefings drew reporters representing 32 international publications to learn about topics such as Directed Energy, Mission Support, SL-AMRAAM and regional/national activities in the Middle East, India, Japan and Europe.
- Raytheon executives gave more than two dozen one-on-one interviews with the media.
- Raytheon’s outdoor static exhibit, featuring SL-AMRAAM and an assortment of Raytheon air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles, drew large crowds each day.
- Raytheon advertisements appeared in a number of publications, including Defense News, Aviation Week & Space Technology, Jane’s Defence Weekly, Flight International and Aviation International News. In addition, Raytheon inserts were placed in Defense News, Military Technology and Jane’s Defence Weekly.
- For the second year in a row, Raytheon sponsored the trip for the Aerospace Industries Association’s Team America Rocketry Challenge winners. Students from the winning team were also treated to a tour of the Raytheon chalet.
