Only few months after having launched the latest generation of an Integrated Navigation System (INS) at one of the world’s leading maritime trade shows, Raytheon Anschütz now brings the new Synapsis Intelligent Bridge Control system to the Abu Dhabi NAVDEX exhibition.
The high degree of integration, a standardized HMI and the open architecture components make the new generation bridge system especially suited for vessels with small crew sizes which operate in diverse and rapidly evolving tasks associated with national and regional maritime security missions. Uwe Berendes, Sales Manager for Middle East at Raytheon Anschütz, explains the value of the new bridge system: “Our new Integrated Bridge System is designed to increase efficiency in operation. A newly developed network system integrates the core ship electronics systems in a standardized but flexible manner to satisfy operational requirements of different missions and navies.”
New wide-screen Multifunctional Workstations not only allows access to all the nautical tasks from any desired workplace but also integrate additional applications into the navigation system. Thereby the use of standardized hardware and software simplifies the design of individual bridge systems and lowers the costs of installation at the shipyard and spare parts logistics during operation. “When starting the development of new technology and navigation systems, at Raytheon Anschütz the customer’s benefit always is the most critical point. As the core of the new system architecture, the Bridge Integration Platform not only adds new functions to the bridge today, it also offers highest flexibility for upgrades and extensions to further increase the customer’s benefit in the long haul.”
Furthermore, by monitoring status, function and performance of all connected workstations and sensors automatically, the navigation systems ensures highest availability of tasks and sensor information and thus contributes to a significant increase of operational safety during mission at sea.
Within the defense technology segment in Germany, Raytheon Anschütz acts as a traditional and reliable partner for national and international navies. Navigation systems delivered by Raytheon Anschütz have achieved excellent reputation regarding system design and functionality even under conditions of intensive utilization.
