Raytheon Company has named Rebecca Rhoads president of the company’s Global Business Services, a group created in January to combine and improve the efficiency of common business operations.
Rhoads, a vice president of Raytheon Company, will remain the company’s chief information officer.
The GBS group includes 3,500 employees and encompasses sectors of Raytheon’s supply chain management, finance, information technology, human resources and advanced media functions. Rhoads will continue to be based at corporate headquarters in Waltham, Mass.
“For more than 12 years, Rebecca has provided outstanding leadership of our IT operations in a constantly evolving domain,” said Raytheon Chairman and CEO William H. Swanson. “Her responsibilities with GBS reflect Rebecca’s role at the forefront of Raytheon’s efforts to establish and leverage common business systems for operational excellence and customer value.”
Rhoads has served as Raytheon CIO since April 2001. With more than 35 years of experience in the defense industry, she has held a variety of increasingly senior engineering and leadership roles, first at General Dynamics and Hughes, and then Raytheon. Click here for her biography.
