This week, Raytheon is participating in the 25th Annual High-Tech Conference, hosted by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) in Los Angeles, Calif. The event, drawing more than 1,000 participants, affords small businesses the opportunity to network and explore contract opportunities with major corporations and federal agencies.
Small businesses are known for taking risk, developing new ideas, growing other businesses, and creating new jobs. Demonstrating its commitment to helping small businesses grow and compete in the government market space, Raytheon, leveraging its prime contractor experience, will share industry best practices, highlight core capabilities and discuss potential business opportunities with conference attendees.
Small Businesses Make a Big Impact
The cornerstone of Raytheon's Supplier Diversity program is small businesses. In an effort to provide an inclusive environment for small, minority-owned, women-owned, veteran-owned (including service disabled veterans) and HUBZone businesses, Raytheon has established mutually beneficial mentor-protégé relationships with small businesses and suppliers to improve protégés’ knowledge, skills and contracting expertise; and provide entrepreneurs and small companies a chance to develop core competencies necessary to do business with U.S government customers.
