Raytheon and the New England Patriots hosted 400 Wounded Warrior Project guests at the Kansas City Chiefs vs. New England Patriots game on Nov. 21. Prior to the game, more than 70 Wounded Warriors were invited to attend a VIP reception at The Hall at Patriot Place presented by Raytheon. Those attending included Patriots mascot “Pat Patriot” and Patriots’ alumnus, Ben Coates, who signed autographs. Additionally, New England Patriots Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft paid a surprise visit and thanked the wounded warriors for their heroic efforts.
"Each year,” said Bob Connors, director of preparedness and program manager for Raytheon’s Wounded Warrior initiatives, “we hold this event as a small token of our appreciation for what these men and women have sacrificed to secure freedom around the world. It is an honor to shake their hands and thank them for all they’ve done.”
And the day ended with the wounded warriors getting to see their home team win handily.
