Continuing a program that has been in existence for nearly 15 years, Raytheon has just awarded scholarships to children of Raytheon employees through the Raytheon Scholars program. The company provided $350,000 in scholarships to 350 students selected from a very competitive group of applicants. Each of the winners displayed exemplary academics, involvement in extracurricular activities and community leadership.

About the Raytheon Scholars Program
The Raytheon Scholars program helps make higher education more affordable for the children of Raytheon employees. Scholars earn awards for a wide range of educational options, including vocational and technical training, and associate and bachelor’s degrees.

The Raytheon Scholars program, initiated in 1997, has helped provide support for more than 4,500 children of Raytheon employees in their academic careers.

Application Dates for 2012 Scholars Program
The application process for the 2012 Raytheon Scholars program opens Dec. 1, 2011. Applications are due no later than March 15, 2012.
