In response to the devastating earthquake and tsunami suffered by the people of Japan, Raytheon and its employees have committed nearly $1 million to aid earthquake victims in Japan.
Raytheon had announced a company gift of $500,000 March 17, as well as a match of up to $500,000 of employee contributions to the American Red Cross.
In the nearly 7 weeks since the announcement was made, $230,000 has been donated by employees through the payroll deduction and matching gifts portal — and matched by the company — toward the disaster relief efforts in Japan, a tremendous outpouring of support.
We are now closing the Japan disaster relief match program to new gifts, with a total committed by the company and its employees of $960,000.
Once again, Raytheon’s employees have come through in time of need.
Thank you for your support and generosity.
