For the fifth year in a row, Raytheon was ranked in Computerworld’s "100 Best Places to Work in IT." Through this program Computerworld recognizes companies with IT functions that give employees top-notch benefits and compensation, as well as opportunities to pursue innovative work.
“Earning Computerworld’s recognition five years in a row is a testament to the IT talent at Raytheon and the value the function brings to the organization,” said Rebecca Rhoads, vice president and chief information officer. "Raytheon’s IT organization plans to continue as a recognized employer of choice in 2011, making the company an even more exciting, rewarding place for IT professionals to build their careers.”
The rankings were generated from the feedback of more than 27,000 IT professionals from the top 100 organizations. Companies were critiqued on diversity, training, career development, retention and benefits.
Raytheon’s IT team will launch a number of broad and influential initiatives in the coming year, including notably the latest rollout of a secure operating system that will help protect the network at an unprecedented level.
