Raytheon announced today the 2008 results and achievements of its MathMovesU™ initiative, a program designed to engage middle school students in math and science.
Here are just a few of the 2008 accomplishments:
- MathMovesU.com welcomed 265,000 unique visitors
- Approximately 40,000 students nationwide benefited from MathMovesU
- More than 4,000 Raytheon employees volunteered in MathMovesU initiatives
- The program awarded more than $2 million in scholarships and grants
- MathMovesU supported and participated in 105 events including the MATHCOUNTS National Competition, FIRST Robotics Competition and the opening of the Hall at Patriot Place presented by Raytheon
Since its inception in 2005, MathMovesU has touched the lives of more than 700,000 students, teachers and parents.
