Raytheon Releases 2008 Corporate Responsibility Report

Raytheon Chairman and CEO William H. Swanson unveiled the company’s 2008 Corporate Responsibility Report at the Annual Meeting of Shareholders on May 28, 2009.
Since 1996, Raytheon has reported on a broad range of corporate responsibility initiatives. The theme of this year’s report is, “Building on Our Commitment: Being Responsible in Everything We Do.”
“We know that today’s accomplishments must be the foundation for our progress tomorrow,” said William H. Swanson. “This eagerness has energized our company since its founding 87 years — and many generations — ago, and it continues to do so today.”
The report shines a light on Raytheon’s involvement in the following areas: corporate governance; ethics; excellence in engineering; diversity; safety and wellness; energy and the environment; information technology; support for our communities; and, most importantly, employees and external shareholders, including customers, suppliers and the community-at-large.
