Raytheon has been honored by CIO Magazine as a recipient of the 2009 CIO 100, an annual award that recognizes organizations around the world that exemplify the highest level of operational and strategic excellence in information technology (IT). The CIO 100 organizations have distinguished themselves by creating business value through the effective and innovative use of IT.

"This year's CIO 100 awards draw well-deserved attention to companies that are both innovating and creating business value with IT despite the economic downturn," said Maryfran Johnson, Editor in Chief of CIO Magazine and events.

"Raytheon's innovative IT solutions are being recognized for the value they bring to our customers and our company,” said Rebecca Rhoads, Raytheon’s chief information officer. “I am very proud of our IT team and their selection as a 2009 recipient of the CIO 100 award."

The awards will be presented in Colorado Springs, Colo., on August 25 at the annual CIO 100 Symposium® and Awards Ceremony.
