A large Raytheon delegation, including senior leadership, recently attended the 22nd annual Catalyst Awards dinner. The dinner is the signature event for Catalyst and its many supporters to recognize corporate initiatives that support women in business. Raytheon was one of the more than 200 U.S. and global companies to attend this year's event, held at New York City's historic Waldorf Astoria hotel.

Raytheon, a long time member of the organization, sent a cross-company group of women leaders to attend the event. In addition, Raytheon Chairman and CEO Bill Swanson is an associate chair of Catalyst, and Raytheon has been a supporter of the awards dinner since 1999.

Catalyst is a leading research and advisory organization working with businesses to build inclusive environments and expand opportunities for women at work. Catalyst awards are presented annually to companies and firms instituting outstanding initiatives that result in women's career development and advancement. This year's awards were presented to Baxter, CH2M HILL, Gibbons and KPMG. Read more about the winners.

"This year's award-winning initiatives represent the business success that bringing women into leadership can deliver across industries and geographies," said Ilene H. Lang, president and chief executive officer of Catalyst. "No matter where we look, whether in New York or Asia Pacific, from engineering to pharmaceuticals, we find achievement through inclusion of women."

Prior to the event, Raytheon hosted a reception for the Raytheon attendees. Swanson welcomed Raytheon's attendees, noting "As we continue our journey of inclusiveness and build on our success, I am counting on you to make things happen, to accelerate the process."
