In its November issue, EHS Today magazine named Raytheon one of America’s safest places to work. As part of this recognition, the company was honored at a September ceremony in conjunction with the National Safety Conference and Exposition.
The magazine, formerly Occupational Hazards, annually recognizes the companies it deems as the safest companies in America. In addition to an application process, the publication considers recommendations by industry professionals, recognition by industry associations, participation in programs such as OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program, state and local awards, and the magazine’s research into the occupational health and safety programs of the company.
The award recognizes Raytheon’s enterprise-wide Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) efforts. Innovative campaigns, such as Safety Madness, Olympic Madness and Kids ‘R Cool, were significant contributors to the achievement.
This is the first year that Raytheon has applied for the award.
