On Nov. 13, 1982, a memorial was dedicated in Washington, D.C. to honor the fallen men and women of the Vietnam War. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial has come to be a place of healing and remembrance for thousands of Vietnam veterans, their familes and those who simply want to pay tribute.
This Veterans Day weekend, military and civilian veterans from all walks of life joined together to commemorate the wall’s 25th anniversary.
Commemorative activities, which ran throughout the weekend, included a 65-hour reading of the names inscribed on the wall and a 10,000-strong parade through the streets of Washington, D.C. Several Raytheon employees in attendance described it as a memorable, awe-inspiring event.
Raytheon helped sponsor the event to honor our employee veterans and all those who fought for our country in Vietnam.
