Forbes has named Raytheon the “Best Managed Company” in the aerospace and defense industry in its 10th annual survey of the 400 Best Big Companies. Forbes highlighted Raytheon management for improving the company’s financial performance, including a significant decline in debt. It also noted the strong growth posted by Raytheon’s Integrated Defense Systems, Network Centric Systems and Missile Systems businesses. In its methodology, Forbes said its choice for best-managed companies across 26 industries, including aerospace and defense, was based on financial statistics as well as “management ability, innovation and leadership.”
