Raytheon Technical Services Company LLC (RTSC) has received a multiple award, indefinite deliver-indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for the Naval Education and Training Professional Development and Technology Center, which has a ceiling valued at $43 million over five years early in September.
The Navy had six strategic goals to develop for this contract: capability-driven manpower; a competency-based workforce; an effective total workforce; a diverse workforce; the service into an employer of choice; and to become more agile and cost-efficient.
"This award is particularly important to Raytheon because it supports our goal of providing our U.S. and international customers with the superior training solutions they require to achieve their mission objectives," said Steve Teel, RTSC vice president for Raytheon Global Training Solutions.
Specifically, RTSC will provide instructional systems design, program management and analytical support to deliver products, tools and services to the Navy's Total Force enterprise for the development of a competency-based workforce capable of meeting current and future warfighting efforts.
Raytheon provides the full spectrum of training capabilities, from front-end training analysis, training system design and curriculum development to training delivery, logistics and evaluation.
Raytheon employs a total systems approach to driving efficiencies and improving performance through training, partnering with customers to understand their goals and objectives and to create a business model that supports the training solution.
