Raytheon has been selected as a recipient of a U.S. Department of Justice Award for 2008 small business subcontracting accomplishments.

Raytheon Information Solutions (RIS) was honored for surpassing small business goals on the DOJ’s FBI National Data Exchange (N-DEx) program. The program subcontracted 24.4 percent to small businesses.

“Raytheon has a lot of respect for the small businesses that complement and enhance our solutions and services,” said TW Scott, Raytheon Information Solutions vice president. “We are proud our work for the Department of Justice has provided an opportunity to engage with small businesses that are so important to our national economy.”

The award is presented by the Department of Justice Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization to prime contractors who met at least one category of their small business goals. The OSDBU strives to improve and increase the Department's performance in utilizing small, small disadvantaged, small women-owned, and veteran-owned businesses as contractors and subcontractors.
