Raytheon Marks National Cyber Security Awareness Month
It is a month designed to energize organizations and individuals in the fight for a safer, more secure Internet.
In partnership with the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) and U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Raytheon is celebrating National Cyber Security Awareness Month in October with a wide range of initiatives, programs and events. Here are some of the highlights:
Oct. 1: To kick off the month, RaytheonCyber.com will release a full slate of updated content, including a Cyber IQ Quiz, findings from the Cyber Safety for the Digital Generation survey, a guest blog by NCSA Executive Director Michael Kaiser and a video about Raytheon's cyber range capabilities.
Oct. 12-14: At the annual meeting of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA), Raytheon will debut new videos featuring our Cyber Operations, Development and Evaluation Center and our cyber hardening capabilities. AUSA attendees will also have the opportunity to experience our new interactive cyber information kiosk.
Oct. 19: The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Raytheon and other NCSA partners will help ring the closing bell at the NASDAQ Stock Exchange.
Oct. 26-Nov. 4: Starting the last week of October, Raytheon will unveil the results of its third annual survey of millennials' interest in and preparedness for cyber careers, showcasing global and U.S findings from nearly 4,000 young adults in 12 countries. The survey, which was commissioned in partnership with NCSA, will shed light on the root causes of a worldwide cyber talent shortage and help chart a course to close the gap.
U.S. survey results will be released on RaytheonCyber.com on Oct. 26. Survey results from Europe, Australia, Japan and South Korea will be released October 27. Middle East results will be announced on November 4 at RSA Abu Dhabi.
Oct. 27: Darren Burton, vice president of human resources and security for Raytheon's Intelligence, Information and Services business unit, will discuss cyber workforce development at NCSA's Cyber Workforce Roundtable, hosted by the Christian Science Monitor in Washington, DC.
Throughout the month, Raytheon cyber technologies — including cyber hardening, proactive and dynamic defense, cyber analytics, threat and research assessment, and cyber range solutions — will be highlighted inside the Capitol South and Mt. Vernon stations of the Washington, D.C. Metro transit system.
The company will be advertising top cyber jobs on raytheoncyber.com/jobs.
A safe, secure Internet is everyone's responsibility, and Raytheon takes that role very seriously. Keep an eye on RaytheonCyber.com and @RaytheonCyber on Twitter throughout October for updates and reports from Raytheon's cybersecurity awareness campaign.
