Ethics
Raytheon received a Silver Telly Award in the category of "Training for Corporate Use" for our "Ethics Inside/Outside" awareness training video. The Telly Awards honor local, regional and cable TV commercials and programs, as well as the finest in video and film productions.

Global Health Resources
Raytheon received the first annual Gold Award from the National Business Group on Health during the annual Obesity Leadership Summit in Pentagon City, Va., in recognition of our commitment to combating obesity and promoting healthy lifestyles for all employees.

Raytheon received the Best Employer for a Healthy Workplace Gold Award from the National Business Group on Health for our successful weight-loss programs.

Environmental, Health & Safety
Raytheon received the John A.S. McGlennon Environmental Award from the Environmental Business Council for Corporate Leadership in recognition of our outstanding corporate environmental leadership and contribution to the quality of the environment in New England.

Raytheon’s El Segundo, Calif., site received the Waste Reduction Program Award for the eighth year in a row from the California Integrated Waste Management Board for outstanding efforts to reduce solid waste and protect the environment.

Raytheon’s McKinney, Texas, site was recognized as a Clean Texas Partner by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality for its commitment to preserving air, water and land resources.

The Fairfax County Department of Environmental Resources in Virginia awarded Raytheon’s Falls Church facility with the Recycling Excellence Award in the large business category for its recycling program.

Raytheon Systems Limited (United Kingdom) received its third consecutive Gold Award at the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Occupational Health & Safety Awards.

Raytheon’s Integrated Air Defense Center in Andover, Mass., received the Grand Trophy Award from the Massachusetts Safety Council for its exemplary lost workday injury rate reduction.

Raytheon’s Little Rock, Ark., aircraft site was recognized by the Arkansas Department of Labor for the second year in a row for working 1 million hours without a single lost workday injury.

Energy
Raytheon was recognized as the Blue Star Corporate Leader at the annual World Energy Engineering Congress in Austin, Texas.

Raytheon received a Best Practices in Lighting Award from the Energy Planning Network and Energy & Power Management magazine.

Supply Chain Diversity
Kuchera Defense Systems, a Raytheon nominee, was recognized as National Small Business Subcontractor of the Year by the
U.S. Small Business Administration.

Chairman and CEO Bill Swanson received a “Letter of Congratulations” from the Department of Defense (DoD), authored by Ken Kriege, DoD Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics, for small business support.

Raytheon Network Centric Systems and Integrated Defense Systems received the Department of Defense Nunn-Perry Award for Mentor-Protégé Agreements with Tampa Brass and Aluminum and Banneker Industries, respectively.

Raytheon received the Corporation of the Year Award from the National Center of American Indian Economic Development.

Diversity
Raytheon received a perfect score from the Human Rights Campaign Foundation for our policies affecting gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender employees.

Chairman and CEO Bill Swanson received an award for his outstanding leadership and personal support in developing a strong culture of diversity within Raytheon from the 2005 Black Engineer of the Year Awards.

Louise Francesconi, Raytheon Company vice president and president of the Missile Systems business, received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Women in Aerospace organization.

Wyllstyne Hill, vice president and chief information officer of Raytheon Missile Systems Information Technology, received recognition for her efforts at the University of Arizona’s Black Alumni 2005 Phenomenal Woman Award dinner.

Mary Petryszyn, vice president of Joint Battlespace Integration (IDS), received the Upward Mobility Award from the Society of Women Engineers.

Heidi Shyu, vice president and technology director for Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems, was named Asian American Engineer of the Year.
