Integrated Defense Systems (IDS), with 2005 sales of $3.8 billion,
is Raytheon’s leader in joint battle-space integration.
IDS is at the forefront of Radio Frequency technology, producing
the radar portion of the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA)
Sea-Based X-Band Radar as part of an industry team. The business
also supplied the Forward-Based X-Band Transportable Radar
to the MDA and was chosen by the U.S. Air Force to produce
an integrated early warning radar for Taiwan.
The U.S. Navy selected IDS, a leader in systems integration,
as the prime mission systems integrator for the next-generation
DD(X) destroyer, and the Cobra Judy Replacement (CJR) and
CVN-21 aircraft carrier programs, using Dual Band Radar systems
for both DD(X) and CJR.
By employing the most advanced technology, IDS provides solutions for domestic
and international customers throughout the battlespace.
