The C-295 military transport from Team JCA (Joint Cargo Aircraft) has completed the Early User Survey (EUS) phase of the JCA program. During this evaluation, the JCA joint program office evaluated aircraft system performance based on the proposal submitted by Team JCA in June 2006.

The Team JCA C-295 aircraft that participated in the EUS is equipped with the same systems that would be used by the Army and Air Force if they select it to meet the JCA requirement. This aircraft was judged based on flight performance, handling qualities, reconfiguration capabilities, short-field performance, defense suite, and airdrop and austere-field operations.

The C-295 is the only battle-proven operational military transport aircraft participating in the JCA competition that is fully certified by the Federal Aviation Administration. The C-295 is offered by the Team JCA partnership of Raytheon and EADS CASA North America.
