The Financial Times has published an article about the growth of learning outsourcing in the defense and civil sectors. The article highlights Raytheon’s global training capabilities and features excerpts from an interview with Paul Swinscoe, Raytheon’s director of learning services in the U.K.

Sylvia Pfeifer, defense correspondent at the Financial Times, wrote: “Raytheon ... may be better known as the maker of the Tomahawk missile but its track record in training the US military and Nasa astronauts has enabled it to win lucrative contracts from commercial customers such as General Motors. The car giant decided to outsource the training of its Mr Goodwrench servicing brand mechanics at its franchises in the mid-1990s and chose Raytheon because it liked its track record in tackling complex, large-scale programmes.”
