Raytheon was recently selected as the #4 most-admired company in the aerospace and defense industry by Fortune magazine. This ranking is an all-time high for Raytheon, which earned a #8 ranking in last year’s survey.

The four-place year-over-year jump was the highest in the industry. Areas where Raytheon showed marked improvement included social responsibility, quality of products/services, innovation, talent development and use of corporate assets.

The increase in Raytheon’s industry rating places the company in the top half of the category, which means these results also carry over into Fortune’s state rankings — Raytheon is now on the "Most Admired" list of top performing companies for Massachusetts, ranking #5 out of seven companies recognized.
