The Second Generation Detective Assembly provides proven infrared sensor technology with a high degree of flexibility.

The Second Generation Detective Assembly (SGDA) is at the heart of second-generation infrared sensor technology. Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) offers the SGDA line of infrared sensors to satisfy a wide-range of thermal imaging applications. These applications include night vision and thermal targeting sights. The SGDA has been proven on the Spanish Light Weight Launcher (SLWL) thermal targeting system for the TOW missile launcher, as well as other systems.

From the beginning our focus has been on concurrent engineering and manufacturing technology. In the SGDA, RVS has achieved a high level of performance, while reducing manufacturing costs. The result is a standardized detector assembly package that gives our customer flexibilities such as options on detectors, coolers, coldshields, and system interface software.
