Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS)
Light-weight, agile mobile device with real-time, tactical communication
From the battlefield to first responders, today’s operational environments require reliable, real-time communication and collaboration intelligence. Raytheon is answering this call by providing unique applications that can access the right intelligence, at the right time, right from the warfighters' or first responders' handheld mobile devices.
Now common mobile devices, similar to the ones used at home, can be used for urgent and life-saving missions. Using existing technologies, the Raytheon Advanced Tactical System (RATS™) delivers multimedia directly to the field. RATS breaks down barriers to information sharing and enables users to quickly access intelligence data from anywhere at any time.
Through a wireless mobile platform, warfighters and responders alike can adapt to available networks, receive interactive tactical communication and easily collaborate with users through chat, voice, full-motion video, imagery, map overlays and a variety of other communication tools. RATS provides mobile users the ability to make decisions in seconds and minutes, rather than hours.
Features:
- Interactive communication for intelligence collaboration
- Real-time, full-motion video and imagery
- Social networking capabilities
- Net-centric environment
- Portable, open software architecture enables use of unique service applications
