U.S. Army Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD), in partnership with Raytheon, has designed, developed, and delivered the sensor technology designated for the Future Force, Increment II. The MFS3 demonstrates leap-ahead technology, providing the U.S. Army with the test-bed for development of future long-range reconnaissance, surveillance, and target acquisition (RSTA) capabilities.

The MFS3 is the multi-band pathfinder for third-generation sensor technology for ground applications and defines the third-generation component specifications for both air and ground platforms.
