Providing high-speed broadband broadcasts in support of the warfighter.
![]() | There is a reason the Global Broadcast Service (GBS) has provided advanced information management for government agencies, combatant commanders and the joint services for a decade. It is because broadcast is the most efficient way of delivering content to multiple users simultaneously. |
Military operations require high-speed, broadband multimedia communications and information flow for forces on post, in transit and in theater. The GBS employs emerging commercial technologies that satisfy these information requirements for the warfighter. GBS provides worldwide internet protocol broadcast of real time video, imagery and other data sources across the global information grid to support U.S. forces and government agencies.
The GBS augments overburdened government communications systems to provide information to disadvantaged users with limited or no data access. GBS is a highly agile, extensible and scalable COTS-based system that provides full flexibility to broadcast mission critical data over both military and commercial satellites.
