Raytheon’s Center Display Unit (CDU) gives today’s warfighter the ability to control and display information from both on- and off-board sensors, maximizing lethality and minimizing fratricide.
It seamlessly integrates datalink messages, video, annotated imagery and other information with ground forces to better improve close air support.
With an open architecture to enable future upgrades, the CDU provides effective integration of multiple sensor, image, message and situational awareness displays and Hands on Throttle and Stick (HOTAS) control.
The unit's processors fit into existing instrument bays, making installation easy.
Based on advanced digital and video processing elements, the CDU incorporates a high-resolution display that is compatible with both daylight readable and night-vision imaging systems. It digitally reproduces important imagery for the pilot in degraded visual environments.
