Proven Experience
IDENT, U.S. Department of Homeland Security Biometrics Support — IDENT is a U.S. DHS mission-critical system deployed at more than 150 sites across the U.S. The system is designed to identify illegal immigrants crossing U.S. borders. Raytheon served as the prime contractor and provided system design and development of applications, and deployment.
e-Borders, United Kingdom Border Management System — e-Borders is an advanced border transformation program working to strengthen and modernize border controls in the United Kingdom. Awarded in November 2007, Raytheon deployed an operational e-Borders system in 2009. e-Borders collects and analyzes passenger and crew data, for all journeys to and from the U.K., in advance of travel. Under e-Borders, Raytheon delivered the multi-agency National Border Targeting Centre, where passenger data is checked against watchlists, risk assessed, and shared among U.K. border agencies. As of July 2010 the system was processing more than 125 million passenger movements annually.
Classified U.S. government customer — Raytheon was awarded a contract to design the multi-modal architecture for a next generation biometrics system for a classified customer. Key items addressed include extremely large biometric galleries, varying data quality, latent matching capabilities, and very short response times.
