Air Traffic Control Optimum Training Solution (ATCOTS)

INDUSTRY-LEADING SOLUTIONS. PROVEN PERFORMANCE. TRUSTED PARTNERSHIP.

ATC training is a vital part of Raytheon's Air Traffic Control Optimum Training Solution (ATCOTS), which has helped the FAA ensure proven performance and optimal efficiency since 2009.

As a trusted partner, Raytheon has helped the FAA reduce air traffic controller academy class durations by 10 percent, reduce cost per student by 6 percent, increase Tower Simulator System efficiency by 23 percent and automate numerous processes that drive a more efficient, more effective controller training system. We've also committed more than 1,000,000 hours to the design, development and maintenance of Air Traffic Control Training — and helped train thousands of air traffic controllers who have gone on to successfully achieve full certification.

ATCOTS - STARS

TRAINING ON TOMORROW'S SYSTEMS, TODAY

Raytheon has been a vital part of contributing to Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) initiatives and is the only Training Service provider to train controllers on the Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS) as the FAA's large TRACONs began their transition from the CARTS to STARS Terminal automation platform.

ATCOTS - SIMULATION

WHY BRING STUDENTS TO THE SIMULATOR WHEN YOU CAN BRING THE SIMULATOR TO THE STUDENTS?

Raytheon brings radar simulation training to smaller, remote sites through the use of a unique capability that delivers challenging scenario-based training on Air Traffic Control RADAR knowledge and procedures.

This enables remote support for the design, development and execution of site specific scenarios for students at smaller facilities.

ATCOTS - State of the Art

THE KNOWLEDGE TO TRANSFORM CURRENT STATE TO STATE OF THE ART

Raytheon developed replicable and documented pathways and processes for conversion of Authorware to HTML5. The result is operating system-agnostic learning for desktop or any smart device and can be distributed via a Learning Management System.
