The AE194 InSb Focal Plane Array is a high-performance FPA designed for missile seekers, missile warners, and imaging systems.
The AE194 is a medium format 256 x 256 focal plane array designed for use in several applications including missile systems, interceptor seekers, and commercial imaging camera systems.
The AE194 is presently used in the ARROW and THAAD anti-missile systems and is the focal plane in the Litening and Radiance PM cameras. It has also been used in other camera configurations for applications as diverse as; electrical transformer inspection, steel fabrication process control, and identifying printed circuit boards for replacement prior to failure.
The device features snapshot-mode integration while reading out several set regions of interest or "windows." This allows 64 x 64, 128 x 128 , or full frames to be commanded thus maximizing the frame rate. The MWIR InSb focal plane array provides excellent operability and uniformity over a wide-background range.
