The AN/AAS-44C(V) is an advanced electro-optical, infrared system that provides superior long-range detection for military forces worldwide.
The AN/AAS-44C(V) Multi-Spectral Targeting System (MTS) uses advanced forward-looking infrared (FLIR) technology, visible electro-optical (EO) imagery, and laser designation and illumination to deliver superior detecting, ranging, and tracking capability.
The MTS provides reliable long-range surveillance, target acquisition, tracking, range finding and laser designation of HELLFIRE and tri-service/NATO laser guided munitions. It features multiple fields of view, electronic zoom and multimode video tracking and was designed to incorporate future growth options and performance enhancements.
The AN/AAS-44C(V) is in production for the U.S. Navy and deployed on it's MH-60R and MH-60S helicopters. These multimission platforms are used to support global operations and customers.
