Raytheon successfully executes large Operations & Sustainment programs, delivering overall, end-to-end ground segment operations, maintenance, engineering, and operations support for multiple, complex, very high availability satellite systems. Raytheon’s mission domain knowledge and capabilities in ISR, missile defense, space control, force enhancement, environmental awareness, and secure communications form the foundation of our O&S activities. Raytheon excels in the full range of O&S activities: mission management, real-time operations, data processing and analysis, and technical reporting; system, hardware, and software maintenance and logistics; operations transitions; and sustainment systems engineering and technical infrastructure support.
Raytheon’s proven approach to O&S is to create and maintain an integrated O&S team. Our approach builds strong customer partnerships, with clear lines of communications and affiliation, by structuring our management teams to align with key Customer concerns, primarily focusing on achieving program goals directly aligned with the mission. Raytheon has a proven track record of O&S success and has used the Raytheon Six Sigma program to evolve business practices, tools, and processes for more mission capability with fewer resources.
Raytheon successfully executes the transition to operations of new capabilities and technologies through close coordination with Customers and with careful attention to maintaining mission continuity. Raytheon O&S system engineering identifies and resolves performance and interface problems to ensure system integrity, evaluates change requests for technical and cost impacts to operational systems, plans for obsolescence, and coordinates the architectural evolution of the system. System engineering also controls operational hardware and software baselines through strict configuration management, employing a multi-tier configuration management process that is ISO-9000 compliant to maintain the integrity of the operational baseline and assure mission success.
