With eyes in the sky, Raytheon protects warfighters from threats travelling through the stratosphere and beyond. As capabilities continually evolve, our range of space-based and airborne surveillance systems allow for the constant tracking, monitoring and targeting of enemy fire. By providing the most advanced notice possible to those who need it most, hostile encounters can be stopped before anyone gets in harm’s way.
These constant vigil systems are:
With eyes over the water, Raytheon helps the warfighter safeguard the water through a variety of maritime systems.
A prime example of our maritime advantage is the SeaVue maritime surveillance radar integrated on the Beechcraft King Air 350ER aircraft. This solution provides a single, very affordable, turnkey solution for maritime and littoral persistent surveillance. With more than 150 SeaVue Radars operational worldwide, SeaVue arms the warfighter with industry-leading small target detection, as well as persistent and accurate wide-area surveillance in the tactical maritime theater.
Designed for the U.S. Navy P-8 Poseidon, AN/APY-10 is a premier sensor for both maritime and overland missions. With more than 40 years Raytheon expertise to its legacy, AN/APY-10 offers superior small-target detection in high-sea states, including dedicated periscope detection mode, long-range detection and classification of maritime targets, and synthetic aperture for overland surveillance. These low-risk technologies provide enhanced supportability of other Raytheon maritime surveillance radar programs, helping the warfighter achieve success and safety on a variety of platforms.
Raytheon is the primary developer and producer of high definition battlefield (HD) solutions, like third generation FLIR (forward looking infrared) for land and expeditionary forces worldwide. 3rd Gen FLIR gives commanders and warfighters unprecedented situational awareness and combat overmatch capability.
Dismounted Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition
Raytheon soldier systems are divided into two primary categories: sighting and targeting.
Raytheon is the trusted choice for superior Mounted Reconnaissance Surveillance and Target Acquisition solutions including: eLRAS3, ITAS, Horizontal Technology Integration and the Commander’s Independent Viewer among others. Advantages of Raytheon EOIR systems include:
- Overmatch in Ground Operations: Better image resolution and magnification at greater stand-off distances to increase survivability; lighter-weight designs, using current form factors, enhance portability and flexibility across every mission.
- Force Synchronization: No other company has Raytheon’s experience in network-ready Horizontal Technology Integration, so we are best qualified to help forces synchronize imaging data and maintain a common view across multiple networks.
- Efficiency: Raytheon’s market leadership in providing solutions to all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces means we can deliver unmatched development and production efficiencies – plus the cost savings and improved reliability that go along with it.
BattleGuard is a remotely operated weapons station designed for combat vehicles. The system combines electro-optical, infrared and visible-light sensors that can be driven together with a weapon or used independently.
Raytheon’s Quick Kill™ Active Protection System (APS) can intercept and shoot down a number of threats, including rocket-propelled grenades and anti-tank missiles.
Design Services and Manufacturing
We also provide customers with solutions to meet unique optical design and manufacturing needs. We provide complete designs as well as precision electro-optical and opto-mechanical assemblies for mixed manufacturing (high to low) volumes.
Integrating ISR Assets for Battlespace Dominance
U.S. military forces deployed throughout the world, operating in joint environments, require real-time access to actionable intelligence. Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) creates a global, Internet-like network in which both military and national agencies have access to time-sensitive intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) data.
Light-Weight, Agile Mobile Device with Real-Time Tactical Communication
Commercially available mobile devices running Android OS 4.0 or higher can be used in the field for urgent and life-saving missions. Using existing technologies, RATS™ (Raytheon Advanced Tactical System) 2.0 delivers.
