Three management organizations within Saudi Arabian Programs work together to provide services, training and hardware for the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces (RSADF).
- Raytheon Middle East Systems (RAYMES) is responsible for direct commercial business in Saudi Arabia.
- Raytheon Southeast Asia Systems (RAYSEAS) is responsible for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) business in Saudi Arabia.
- The Saudi Arabian Program Management Office (SPMO), in Andover, Mass., is responsible for domestic operations and domestic support for RAYMES and RAYSEAS.
Saudi Arabian Programs began in 1966 with the sale of Basic Hawk. Since the introduction of Hawk, there have been various Hawk modification programs and the award of the first Patriot contract in 1993. Over the years, Saudi Arabian Programs has provided the RSADF a wide variety of support in areas such as program management, technical services, training and logistics.
The program has built and staffed depot-level repair facilities, TV studios, training centers, warehouses and living quarters. The program has also conducted prerequisite training in English and Basic Sciences and follow-on training in Hawk and Patriot Military Occupational Specialties (MOS).
The current Hawk and Patriot Systems Technical and Logistics Support Contract (HPSSC) is a direct commercial sale between Raytheon and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Hawk and Patriot technical support, logistics support and training.
Raytheon employs U.S. citizens in Saudi Arabia on either accompanied or unaccompanied assignments. The workforce also includes Saudi nationals and third-country nationals (TCNs). Raytheon’s long-term relationship with the RSADF is based on product quality, skilled services, innovation and customer value.
