Raytheon provides world-class expertise and thought leadership in robotics technology. We are a research and development leader in designing and building advanced robotic systems for a variety of applications.
Big Arm
Lifting, moving and handling heavy loads in complex, unstructured environments is a challenge in many military, commercial, industrial and disaster environments. The Big-Arm Teleoperation System provides a unique and effective solution to fill the “lift gap” between human strength and heavy-left equipment.
Exoskeleton
Exoskeleton is a robotic suit for the soldier of tomorrow. The exoskeleton is a wearable robot that amplifies its wearer’s strength, endurance and agility. Built from a combination of sensors, actuators and controllers, the futuristic suit enables a user to easily carry a man on his back or lift 200 pounds repeatedly without tiring.
Long Thin Robots
Long Thin Robots (LTR) are Raytheon’s class of robotic unmanned ground vehicles that move with snake-like locomotion. Because of their unique size and style of movement, they can carry sensors into places where no other robots can go. Their innovative design allows them to explore pipes, caves and culverts, and make their way through rubble, across gaps, and up or down stairs. Snake is a prominent member of the LTR class.
