Raytheon and DTE Energy win HROA Learning Relationship of the Year Award

Raytheon Professional Services and DTE Energy were awarded the Learning Relationship of the Year Award by the Human Resources Outsourcing Association (HROA) in recognition of the success of their training outsourcing partnership.  

As one of the first end-to-end learning outsourcing engagements in the utilities industry, Raytheon Professional Services (RPS) and DTE Energy embarked upon a groundbreaking journey in learning transformation. The team implemented service quality, capability, personnel and technology initiatives.  

“Our process-based methodology and technical design experience are integral to delivering DTE Energy’s learning requirements and helping them meet their business goals,” said David Letts, RPS vice president and general manager. “Our relationship is based on a strong cultural fit and alignment of values and philosophies that enable our partnership to thrive. We have deep appreciation for the challenges that DTE Energy faces, and we look forward to strengthening this relationship.”

“We took a leap of faith by turning over a large portion of our learning services to Raytheon, but it’s a decision that has proven successful,” said Ray Kelly, DTE Energy director of safety and technical training. “Our partnership has not only saved money, but it has improved our internal work processes and client satisfaction and provided us with an opportunity to better focus on strategic initiatives. Still, we’re not going to rest on our laurels. We know we need to continually improve. Our relationship with Raytheon will serve as the foundation to do so.”

The 2009 HROA Awards theme was “Be Innovative,” honoring individuals and organizations that exhibited a commitment to innovation in addition to thought leadership within the human resources outsourcing industry.
