Global Integrated Sensors (GIS) is an integrated business team at Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) focused on radar technology. GIS engineers and scientists design, support and advance radar technology, including hardware and software, for strategic and tactical radars used as critical components in air and missile defense and situational awareness. GIS-developed radars are land and sea-based, with systems able to detect, identify and track targets and objects at greater ranges, over-the-horizon and in space with greater sensitivity.

Its customers include the U.S. Department of Defense, including the Missile Defense Agency, Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. intelligence agencies, and international customers.

GIS is organized into seven directorates and oversees one subsidiary company: Raytheon Solipsys, specializing in software development for command and control and situational awareness.

Headquartered at Raytheon's Missile Defense Center in Woburn, Mass., GIS has offices and programs based at other Raytheon IDS mission centers. David Gulla, vice president, leads Global Integrated Sensors.

GIS is organized into three major capability areas:
